On behalf of the Pinewood community, our thoughts and prayers go out to the families affected by the unthinkable train collision that occurred this morning in the Tempe region of Greece. In the midst of such a tragedy so close to home, we offer our deepest condolences to those facing loss and a speedy recovery to those who have been injured.

Pinewood managed to collect and deliver 8 pallets, stacked 2 meters high, full of clothes, food and hygiene products to the Thessaloniki Municipality for distribution to the people affected by the Turkey-Syria earthquakes. Our appreciation goes to our parents, students, and staff who responded to our call for donations. |

Pinewood creates opportunities and shapes students which are looking for a way to grow as persons and as entrepreneurs. Ambitious, driven people – curious creative thinkers!
During last week's Entrepreneurship week, students got inspired, gathered information, shared and grew their ideas, and learned how to expand their network with people that may be valuable for the development of their idea.
We also held our very first school-wide inspiring Entrepreneurship Fair! Students had the opportunity to walk around and enjoy interacting and supporting our Student Business Owners who had set up their stalls to sell their goods and services. Art, food, books, clothes, jewelry, and much more were available for sale. Our young entrepreneurs learned a few things about competition and how to position their stalls better - and they were unanimous in their request to repeat the event soon!

Last Wednesday, 30 professionals joined us during our Career Day. Some of our parents and external professionals provided our secondary students with insights into their studies, work life, and personal experiences. The students got a better understanding of the correlation between certain study fields and different professions. They also gained an understanding of how skills and attitudes learned in school can translate into advantages.
A warm thank you to our speakers, for offering their time and support. Click HERE to read more. |

There is a wide variety of topics that the students explored, all requiring the audience to think critically about the issues depicted and consider the many small and big adjustments that our world requires today. The audience is called to contemplate trending topics of the literal and symbolic manifestation of trauma, body image, and mental illness, as well as recurrent topics about our life cycle, the natural world with its beauties and its horrors, and a novel viewpoint on Greek mythological female characters.
